The experience was great. They were very helpful in setting up the food/drinks we brought with us and took us to a fun sand bar and a great tour of South Beach.

The owner was very responsive during the booking process. The boat is a 2020 model but based on it’s condition, you wouldn’t know it. The transmission has an issue which requires you to hold the throttle in place at lower speeds. The boat was no clean at pickup and had garbage still on it from previous trips. Even though the listing said gas is included, only 1/3 of a tank ($150 worth) was put in, despite me actually paying $150 up front to avoid having to fill the tank after use. So essentially, I paid for gas 2x and 3x more than I used. It was a windy day and so we could’ve leave the bay and therefore used about 1/3 of the gas in the boat because we mostly went slow in no wake zones. Had we actually been able to go out into the ocean, we would have certainly run out of gas before the end of our day and would have needed to refuel. I am an experienced boater so this wouldn’t be difficult for me, but most people who rent, aren’t experienced, evident based on the condition of the boat overall, and thus it would pose challenges finding a gas station, docking and filling. The boat does not have a VHF radio so anyone considering going offshore should be very careful to remain in cell phone range.
