Perfect afternoon on the Hudson!
We went out on September 27th and had an absolute blast. The Regal LX6 is spotless and clearly well cared for, and the powerful engine had no trouble getting us out of Chelsea Piers and onto the water in no time. Plenty of room for our group, comfortable seating in the bow and cockpit, and the sound system made the whole trip feel like a party.
The captain was the real highlight. He's a pro behind the wheel, knows the New York waterways cold, and struck the perfect balance between keeping things safe and making sure everyone was having fun. He was responsive leading up to the trip and easygoing the whole way through. Fuel and captain being included in the price made the whole thing simple, with no surprises.
If you're looking to get out on the water in NYC, this is the boat and captain to book. Five stars, easily. We'll be back.
I rented this experience for my bachelorette trip and it was amazing!! We had such a fun time! There are 2 reasons I'm giving it a 4/5 stars though. The first is because I paid for a stewardess and there was not a stewardness on the boat. We ended up not needing anyone and I was refunded. However, I wish there had not been an option to upgrade if it was not available. The 2nd (and more important) reason is there was no water on the boat even though it said there would be 1) on the online booking 2) when I messaged the captain 3) when I got the confirmatory text the day before. We would have brought our own water had we not been assured 3 separate times that it would be available on the boat. Overall, we had a wonderful time though! I would rebook (and bring my own water)!
