I'm an avid boater and this is the 2nd time using Sailo to book. The owner of the vessel was great with response time and even threw in a bottle of champagne when booked same day. The captain, Jorge, and first mate Molly were ok. They were courteous and professional but we had a discrepancy with our trip. It took him an hour to sail to our destination when we knew it usually takes 30 minutes or less. We booked for 4 hours (12-4) and asked if we could leave the water at 4 instead of 3 since he takes an hour to sail
The request was denied.
Additionally we were handed the comp bottle of champagne after we docked and were leaving the vessel. When I mentioned that it would have been nice to receive this at the beginning of our trip...my comments were met with silence.
To anyone booking please ensure you account for 2 hours of travel as part of your booking if Haulover sandbar is your destination. -
