Come Sail Montauk with us! We offer private charters such as Sunset Sails, Boat Parties, and Sail & Swims. If you're looking to learn or become certified in sailing, we offer Private Sailing Lessons and also ASA(American Sailing Association) certifications. Already know how to sail? Rent one of our boats for a full or half day sail. All boats come equipped with a cooler filled with complimentary ice and waters. We also keep cups and bottle openers aboard. Feel free to BYOB or bring anything else you'd like to eat or drink.

Each charter is 2 hours includes the first 2 guests. For each additional adult it's $70, and for each additional child it's $48. For our Private Lessons, Flotilla Boat Parties, Sail & Swims and Bareboat Rentals contact us.

Crew

Alexandra grew up sailing on the west coast. She fined tuned her skills in the Caribbean, and now she lives in Montauk in the summers. She's a Master Captain and an ASA Sailing Instructor. Darius learned to sail as adult, and has been sailing for 10+ years. He started off teaching in Manhattan, and soon moved to the Caribbean to run charters in the USVI and BVI. Now he summers in Montauk teaching for Sail Montauk. He's a Master Captain and an ASA Sailing Instructor.

Step off the dock onto one of our private sailboats for an exhilarating sail on the waters of Montauk. Each Private Charter includes the first 2 guests. Each additional adult is $60 and each additional child is $40. We have 4 boats, and we can take a max of 5 guests per boat.

    What type of yacht should I charter?

    No matter what type of yacht you choose to charter, we know that you will have a fantastic time on the water. If you are more about the journey, and want a relaxing time aboard, then choose from one of the many sailboats on the platform. If you are more about the destination, and going fast, check out the powerboats on Sailo. For an exclusive experience, Sailo recommends chartering a luxurious yacht for the day.     What should I bring?

    Bring yourself, and some comfortable clothes suitable to the season you are going to be out on the water. Please keep in mind that it is often 10 degrees cooler out on the water, so a jacket or windbreaker is never a bad idea. We also recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses, as well as a swimsuit if appropriate for your charter location.     How long does a rental last?

    The basic daily rental is structured as either a quarter-, half-, or full-day. A quarter-day is two hours, a half-day is four hours, and a full-day is eight hours. You can also discuss a custom trip with the boat by contacting the owner through Sailo. Most term charters (weekly rentals) are from Saturday to Saturday. Keep in mind that the boat generally needs to be back at the dock by Friday evening, and you will need to be off the boat on Saturday morning so they can prepare the boat for the next guests. more...
