Ilija was friendly, flexible, helpful and knowledgeable. The boat was spacious for our 10 person group. He explained the history of the sites and made an effort to take us to secluding swimming spots. The tour was the highlight of our trip! I highly recommend exploring the bay by boat and Ilija is a reliable captain.

About Ilija

I am Ilija Pajovic, the owner of a speedboat company. I sailed for more than 25 years on the world seas, and during that long time, I was a chief engineer on big cruise ships and traveled to more than 100 countries.

My love and passion for the sea and various activities are never-ending. That is why I decided to use my experience and expertise in my hometown. Now I am sharing it with all visitors to Kotor by offering them the best possible Kotor & Boka Bay tours.

My primary focus is always on the safety of all my guests. I am more than happy that Kotor became popular so I can show visitors all the hidden gems of this beautiful area.

I've been hosting thousands of guests per year in my boats for the past eight years.

I welcome cruise ship passengers and offer tailored tours for them owing to their shorter stay, as well as comprehensive tours for those who have more time in Kotor.

I am always happy to reply to any of our guest's questions.

Location & Destination Guide

Croatia’s second city, Split is a fantastic blend of maritime history and laid back urban vibes. Often overlooked by Dubrovnik, Split actually makes the perfect base to rent a boat and explore the Dalmatian coast when sailing in Croatia. And with a palm fringed, sea facing promenade, and some of the most popular Croatian islands on its doorstep, you’ll see why this city is quickly catching up with it’s more glamorous neighbor.

FAQs

What type of yacht should I charter?
No matter what type of yacht you choose to charter, we know that you will have a fantastic time on the water. If you are more about the journey, and want a relaxing time aboard, then choose from one of the many sailboats on the platform. If you are more about the destination, and going fast, check out the powerboats on Sailo. For an exclusive experience, Sailo recommends chartering a luxurious yacht for the day. Finally, Sailo has access to many event boats as well for group outings from 50 - 1,000 guests. If you are still unsure, then just ask! Read more
What should I bring?
Bring yourself, and some comfortable clothes suitable to the season you are going to be out on the water. Please keep in mind that it is often 10 degrees cooler out on the water, so a jacket or windbreaker is never a bad idea. We also recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses, as well as a swimsuit if appropriate for your charter location. Please coordinate with your captain regarding any food or drinks that you wish to bring aboard. For term-charters, Sailo recommends using soft-sided luggage, and keeping it simple. Read more
How long does a rental last?
The basic daily rental is structured as either a quarter-, half-, or full-day. A quarter-day is two hours, a half-day is four hours, and a full-day is eight hours. You can also discuss a custom trip with the boat by contacting the owner through Sailo. Most term charters (weekly rentals) are from Saturday to Saturday. Keep in mind that the boat generally needs to be back at the dock by Friday evening, and you will need to be off the boat on Saturday morning so they can prepare the boat for the next guests.
