100% scammed. Bait and switch.
The ad Posted pictures of a great boat then gave us a completely different boat. They gave us a smaller boat - when I called them to talk about this, they claimed it was a "more modern." It was dirty, poorly maintained and nothing like the pictures. They said the boat we reserved was needing maintenance.
Ok - that happens - i understand but no one told us, and they wouldn't adjust the reservation cost. Their contact person at the marina was also poorly informed about our reservation and dragged us around the marina while we carried all our gear looking for a boat. The veleros booking agent offered a 2 hour tour extension which was worthless because they were 2 hours late delivering the boat - and we already had it reserved to the end of the day the following day. ???
They would not provide a partial refund. They said the boat would come with a captain which we were prepared to tip but then they gave us an extra person as well. We received no boat orientation. 1st mate turned out to be helpful and probably was the only positive aspect of the boat. Sailing conditions were good and islands/beaches visited were good. I could write a lot more but i think my point has been made.
