Description

Hot rod on the water! We drive. You ride. See the Columbia River! Enjoy the thrill and excitement of right angle turns, accelerated speeds, and “The Hamilton Spin”, a maneuver that spins the boat! We can make it a cruise for those that aren’t interested in the thrills.

This experience is 30 minutes even though the system may show it as 2 hours. More time can be purchased as an add on. Time can be split between your party members, but keep in mind that reaching the Rocky Reach Dam takes 30 minutes round trip.

Policies

Boat Rules
No more than 6 guests onboard at any given time.

The party leader agrees to send a roster of all guests including first name, last name and age of each participant prior to arriving . Please group guests by boat if exchanges are being made.

If your party takes turns between guests, they must be on the roster and must be on the dock when the boat arrives at for a quick exchange. Someone in your party should be responsible seeing that through.

No drinks or food on the boat.

No storage except for keys, wallets and purses.

Sunglasses with croakies are recommended. Hats are not recommended.

It is possible that you get wet, but it is not guaranteed. I do no recommend planning on going out to lunch or other events after your ride without bringing a change of clothes.

Not responsible for wet or lost possessions including electronics and jewelry.

Life jackets are provided and guests are required to wear them while on the boat.

Guests agree to being filmed while the safety speech in being given.

It's important to pay attention the safety speech and the captains signals during the ride.

The Captain reserves the right to downgrade anyone's ride to a cruise or deny service completely for any reason(usually safety). Understand that if I downgrade one or more guests that causes a split boat, I cannot offer a cruise and a thrill ride at the same time. Some guests may have to opt out, settle on a cruise even if some guests didn't downgraded or you may have to purchase more time for an extra trip. There will not be any refunds given for guests that are downgraded or denied. Generally, age and health are the factors. Please message me if you think a guest has health problems or may be too young/old. I will make those calls on a case by case basis. Generally, the age minimum is 6 to participate in a thrill ride.

Guests must be able to physically get up and down the ramp at the dock as well as in and out of the boat.

This boat navigates between the Wenatchee Riverfront Park and the Rocky Reach Dam. I do not navigate south of the boat launch at the park.

The Wenatchee River is illegal to navigate in a motor boat, therefore, this experience does not include any river rapids.

While this service does come with a captain, this is not necessarily a narrated tour.

Guests must understand that the boat engine is loud. Communicating is possible when necessary, but I may stop the boat and turn off the engine to check in with guests.

Guests must understand that on rare occasions boats do break down and I have contingencies in place that are not full proof including auxiliary power and paddles. On very rare occasions guests may be asked to paddle. In any of these events, your party must remain calm and patient while we get back to shore.

Guests must understand that this is a jet boat with a jet pump that can sometimes get debris caught in the intake. That can cause the boat to cavitate causing a partial or complete loss in power in which case you can refer to the previous rule. I do have a contingency that is not full proof called a stomp grate. The captain will turn the boat off and climb over the seats to the back of the boat and push on a pedal to engage the mechanism that should dislodge the debris. In rare cases the captain may have to get in the water to clear the intake. That doesn't always work. It is important to not panic and remain calm during this rare event.
