Hi I'm Captain Brian,
I enjoy sailing, and all types of boating, surfing, kiteboarding, diving, spearfishing, playing guitar and music with friends, exploring new places, meeting new people, and anything to do with water.
Lifes a trip, enjoy the ride.
I love boats and I have grown up on them my whole life. I was raised on a sailboat as a child, and sailed across the pacific with my family. When we returned, I spent some years racing small sailboats and then transferred my love of the ocean and surfing into ocean lifeguarding.
After 10 years of lifeguarding in CA and Hawaii, I joined my family business of commercial fishing, and worked as a captain on my commercial fishing boat for 10 years.
In 2021 I bought my current sailboat, a 2004 Lagoon 410 s2 catamaran, and have spent the last 3 years sailing throughout the Caribbean.
I hold a 50ton USCG masters captains license, and I love taking people out on my boat to share the enjoyment I have grown up with on the water.
Generally, when I take people out as guests on my boat, we will set the sails and do some sailing, then anchor up at a protected cove for some swimming, relaxing, and a bite to eat, then sail back.
The vessel offers a great platform for celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, bachelorette parties, photoshoots, or other events and gatherings.
During the winter months I offer 3-7 day charters in the Bahamas for up to 4 people.
Keep in touch and let me know if this is something you might be interested in.
Come join me in the Bahamas this winter!

Location & Destination Guide

New York City looks great from the ground, but that view from the water is something else! Jump aboard a Sailo boat rental from the Big Apple and experience the thrill of the sea - and snap plenty of incredible pictures. Sailing in NYC is a must on your summer bucket list, whether you are visiting or a New Yorker.

It might not be the first thing you think of when finding things to do in New York City, but renting a boat for a full day or just a few hours is a truly memorable experience.

FAQs

What type of yacht should I charter?
No matter what type of yacht you choose to charter, we know that you will have a fantastic time on the water. If you are more about the journey, and want a relaxing time aboard, then choose from one of the many sailboats on the platform. If you are more about the destination, and going fast, check out the powerboats on Sailo. For an exclusive experience, Sailo recommends chartering a luxurious yacht for the day. Finally, Sailo has access to many event boats as well for group outings from 50 - 1,000 guests. If you are still unsure, then just ask! Read more
What should I bring?
Bring yourself, and some comfortable clothes suitable to the season you are going to be out on the water. Please keep in mind that it is often 10 degrees cooler out on the water, so a jacket or windbreaker is never a bad idea. We also recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses, as well as a swimsuit if appropriate for your charter location. Please coordinate with your captain regarding any food or drinks that you wish to bring aboard. For term-charters, Sailo recommends using soft-sided luggage, and keeping it simple. Read more
How long does a rental last?
The basic daily rental is structured as either a quarter-, half-, or full-day. A quarter-day is two hours, a half-day is four hours, and a full-day is eight hours. You can also discuss a custom trip with the boat by contacting the owner through Sailo. Most term charters (weekly rentals) are from Saturday to Saturday. Keep in mind that the boat generally needs to be back at the dock by Friday evening, and you will need to be off the boat on Saturday morning so they can prepare the boat for the next guests.
