Join us on our private yacht - a racing and cruising yachts of the highest quality. These yachts have won many prestigious races including a round the world race. Our yacht has been exceptionally well cared for over the years as will be apparent as soon as you step aboard.

We sail from Sag Harbor for 1/4 day, 1/2 day and full day charters. Add an additional hour to 1/4 day (2 hour) or 1/2 day (4 hour) charters, if desired.

Sail with us around Gardiner's Bay and Northwest Harbor; let us show you one of the beautiful anchorages in the area to stop in for a swim; or perhaps a circumnavigation of Shelter Island? Two-hour (1/4 day) sunset sails also available. Please note that upon booking SailO charges a booking fee. The launch to get to and from vessel is included.

Custom cruises can also be designed. Mid-week excursions to Block Island also available (special pricing would apply) - recommend 3 days for this, includes breakfast.

Captain Alan and his crew, Liz, took us on an enjoyable sunset cruise in Sag Harbor. This special sail made our annual girls week in the Hamptons memorable. We brought wine and our dinner on board and enjoyed the wind in our hair and the view of the area from the water until the lights from the ferris wheel at the carnival illuminated our way back to the Harbor. Liz was there to anticipate all of our needs. The Captain was a wonderful sailor and host. Thanks again and we would recommend the Wind Dancer to anybody interested in a relaxing cruise.
Sincerely,
Trina, Carol, Mary and Arlene

Our bachelorette party had such a great experience sailing with Captain Alan and Evan! Alan is so nice and made everything easy—from his quick responses during the booking process to his instructions for arrival (and of course the sail itself!). Do yourself a favor and book Alan/Wind Dancer NOW!

Location & Destination Guide

New York City looks great from the ground, but that view from the water is something else! Jump aboard a Sailo boat rental from the Big Apple and experience the thrill of the sea - and snap plenty of incredible pictures. Sailing in NYC is a must on your summer bucket list, whether you are visiting or a New Yorker.

It might not be the first thing you think of when finding things to do in New York City, but renting a boat for a full day or just a few hours is a truly memorable experience.

FAQs

What type of yacht should I charter?
No matter what type of yacht you choose to charter, we know that you will have a fantastic time on the water. If you are more about the journey, and want a relaxing time aboard, then choose from one of the many sailboats on the platform. If you are more about the destination, and going fast, check out the powerboats on Sailo. For an exclusive experience, Sailo recommends chartering a luxurious yacht for the day. Finally, Sailo has access to many event boats as well for group outings from 50 - 1,000 guests. If you are still unsure, then just ask! Read more
What should I bring?
Bring yourself, and some comfortable clothes suitable to the season you are going to be out on the water. Please keep in mind that it is often 10 degrees cooler out on the water, so a jacket or windbreaker is never a bad idea. We also recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses, as well as a swimsuit if appropriate for your charter location. Please coordinate with your captain regarding any food or drinks that you wish to bring aboard. For term-charters, Sailo recommends using soft-sided luggage, and keeping it simple. Read more
How long does a rental last?
The basic daily rental is structured as either a quarter-, half-, or full-day. A quarter-day is two hours, a half-day is four hours, and a full-day is eight hours. You can also discuss a custom trip with the boat by contacting the owner through Sailo. Most term charters (weekly rentals) are from Saturday to Saturday. Keep in mind that the boat generally needs to be back at the dock by Friday evening, and you will need to be off the boat on Saturday morning so they can prepare the boat for the next guests.
