Lovely hosts for our BVI sailing vacation. Everything was as described, they were very accommodating with the itinerary, and food was excellent and plentiful. Wouldn't hesitate to sail with them again.

This was my first charter experience and I must say that Peter and Kata set the standard for all future trips. First off, their knowledge and passion for sailing is second to none. They are understanding, patient, and so adaptable to any changes.

I must say that this charter is more of a family and friend type environment. Peter and Kata prepare the meals, snacks, and cocktails, but will always sit down with you to eat and enjoy some wonderful and insightful conversations. You will arrive a guest, but will leave as friends…..and you can’t wait to see them again!

My favorite part of the trip, besides the 5-star cuisines and cocktails, was walking on the beach with Peter and Choda (their amazing and talented dog). The conversations we had will stay with me forever. Another favorite highlight, was our post-dinner trivia and riddle conversations enjoying a cocktail.

Peter and Kata are always eager to teach you all things about sailing. But be warned, they might put you to work, but the reward is getting to take the wheel and sail their catamaran. Learn, show, and then teach!

I spent 7 days with Peter, Kata, and Choda, however, it felt like only a couple days. I’m already planning my next trip with them to another Caribbean destination, hopefully without a goat incident!!!

I can’t stress enough how much I recommend booking a week or even 10 days with them. Hands down the most memorable vacation I have ever taken. 5++++++

Location & Destination Guide

Looking for a yacht charter in the USVI? Dream sailing destinations don’t come much dreamier than the US Virgin Islands. A Caribbean hang out with an American vibe, sailing in the US Virgin Islands, or USVI, is even easier with a Sailo yacht charter.

The US Virgin Islands archipelago consists of three main islands, St John, St Croix and St Thomas.

FAQs

What type of yacht should I charter?
No matter what type of yacht you choose to charter, we know that you will have a fantastic time on the water. If you are more about the journey, and want a relaxing time aboard, then choose from one of the many sailboats on the platform. If you are more about the destination, and going fast, check out the powerboats on Sailo. For an exclusive experience, Sailo recommends chartering a luxurious yacht for the day. Finally, Sailo has access to many event boats as well for group outings from 50 - 1,000 guests. If you are still unsure, then just ask! Read more
What should I bring?
Bring yourself, and some comfortable clothes suitable to the season you are going to be out on the water. Please keep in mind that it is often 10 degrees cooler out on the water, so a jacket or windbreaker is never a bad idea. We also recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses, as well as a swimsuit if appropriate for your charter location. Please coordinate with your captain regarding any food or drinks that you wish to bring aboard. For term-charters, Sailo recommends using soft-sided luggage, and keeping it simple. Read more
How long does a rental last?
The basic daily rental is structured as either a quarter-, half-, or full-day. A quarter-day is two hours, a half-day is four hours, and a full-day is eight hours. You can also discuss a custom trip with the boat by contacting the owner through Sailo. Most term charters (weekly rentals) are from Saturday to Saturday. Keep in mind that the boat generally needs to be back at the dock by Friday evening, and you will need to be off the boat on Saturday morning so they can prepare the boat for the next guests.
