Moment Sailing Adventures is outer Cape Cod’s only choice for deluxe private captained sailing day charters. We offer 2, 4, and 6 hour sails for groups of up to six guests. Aboard the 47-foot Moment, you will experience the wildlife, beaches, lighthouses, and sunsets of this New England gem.

For the more adventurous, take a 2+ day excursion aboard Moment for up to four guests to destinations such as Wellfleet, Boston, Marblehead, Plymouth, Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, New Bedford, Cuttyhunk, and more!

Moment, designed by Sparkman & Stephens is a 1981 Stevens 47. She has three staterooms, two heads, a full galley, and a tender named Tary to carry you ashore. Moment’s advanced systems allow the captain to handle virtually all the sailing, giving you the freedom to relax and enjoy the Moment.

Departure times and prices for day sails:
Two Hours (early bird) – $399: 8:30AM
Two Hours – $589: 9:30AM, 12PM, 3PM, 5:30PM
Four Hours – $789: 8:30AM, 1:30PM, 3:30PM
Six Hours – $989: 11AM, 1:30PM

Multi-Day sails depart at 1PM and return by 12PM on the third day and are $1189 per day with a 2 day minimum.

Prices do not include taxes, gratuity, or a $20 cash R/T launch fee for the group.

Captain Chris: USCG 50T Masters certified For planning your next trip aboard Moment or a sailing vacation anywhere in the world, USCG 50 Ton Masters licensed and American Sailing Association Instructor certified, Chris will make your experience is smooth sailing – as they say. Chris grew up around boats, from a tiny sunfish on a lake early on to being a part of a Long Island Sound race program that sailed in the Newport to Bermuda Race. In 2009, Chris began captaining charters and fulfilling yacht deliveries in the U.S., Caribbean, and Mexico. In 2013, Chris left New York for Annapolis to complete a refit on the 47 foot Sailing Yacht, Moment and found Moment Sailing Adventures. Captain Craig: 100T Masters Certified Craig is Moment’s primary captain with over 25 years of hospitality and captaining experience having regularly catered to high-profile clientele throughout his career. In his quiver of skills beyond being a yacht captain, he is a fixed wing and helicopter pilot, a ballroom dance instructor, a scuba certified diver, and an an accomplished chef. Craig is an expert in providing rich, unforgettable outings and looks forward to working with you to customize your sailing itinerary and cuisine so that your Moment is exceptionally special.

What type of yacht should I charter?

No matter what type of yacht you choose to charter, we know that you will have a fantastic time on the water. If you are more about the journey, and want a relaxing time aboard, then choose from one of the many sailboats on the platform. If you are more about the destination, and going fast, check out the powerboats on Sailo. For an exclusive experience, Sailo recommends chartering a luxurious yacht for the day. What should I bring?

Bring yourself, and some comfortable clothes suitable to the season you are going to be out on the water. Please keep in mind that it is often 10 degrees cooler out on the water, so a jacket or windbreaker is never a bad idea. We also recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses, as well as a swimsuit if appropriate for your charter location. How long does a rental last?

The basic daily rental is structured as either a quarter-, half-, or full-day. A quarter-day is two hours, a half-day is four hours, and a full-day is eight hours. You can also discuss a custom trip with the boat by contacting the owner through Sailo. Most term charters (weekly rentals) are from Saturday to Saturday. Keep in mind that the boat generally needs to be back at the dock by Friday evening, and you will need to be off the boat on Saturday morning so they can prepare the boat for the next guests. more...
