The "ALL INCLUSIVE" Greek sailing holiday near Athens

We offer an "all-inclusive" sailing holiday for up to 4 guests in 2 double cabins on board Aramon - our 12m Bavaria 39 fully refurbished in 2017. On board you will find constant hot water from our Green Yachting solar system, a barbecue, paddle board, and an internet connection. Our sole concern is your comfort.

Breakfast and lunch is always on board. Dinner varies according to where we are. In a bay, we dine on bord, tied up, you dine in a restaurant ashore. There is an open bar, and the menus are varied and of the highest quality.

The ALL INCLUSIVE pack comprises:

* a skipper and hostess (us ) to run the boat
* all food and drink aboard, (but not the dinners ashore)
* bed and bath linen;
* fuel
* port fees, water, and electricity
* household chores
* smiles and a warm welcome

You are free to share the sailing with us, even to helm if you can (or want to learn); the same goes for running the boat - join in or just lie back and relax. The choice is yours!

Our new 2019 itinerary takes us on a 7 or 14 day circuit from our main base in Poros to Nafplion - a beautiful 19th century town with 2 Venetian fortresses at the head of the Argolic gulf - and back. You will always be doing a "One-way", never visiting the same place twice. The famous islands of Hydra and Spetses are always included. We are mostly "off the beaten track" and know the area intimately. and look forward to sharing our love of Greece with you.

The on-board style is laid back. We sail on average for 6 hours, only using the engine if there is no alternative. The order of the day revolves round swimming stops, scuba diving, and the paddle board, but also we make time to visit the towns and villages along the way.

The sea is our passion, and Aramon is our second home. We welcome you there as guests and new found friends. This is quite different from chartering a yacht and then hiring a crew as your employees, but costs less. The "ALL INCLUSIVE" formula is there to take all the stress away. You book your flights and that's it. Our English speaking driver meets you at the airport, and takes you back. In between, we look after you.

Our guests occupy the two spacious aft cabins, each with a fan and mosquito nets. The main bathroom is just for you with its separate shower cubicle.

ON BOARD SPACE IS LIMITED. Please no rigid suitcases; there's nowhere to store them and they'll get in your way. Clothing needs are minimal.

Ask us anything you like before booking. We can offer vegetarian meals, and skinny dippers are more than welcome. We do as you do. We eat bio if and when we can, but in Greece that's not always easy. General ecological awareness is minimal and there's little we can do.

Experienced sailors both of us, we are also used to looking after guests. As well as the yacht, we have a guest room at home in France. We are both keen on both food and drink, so you eat well on board. Marie is a natural wines expert, happy to share her knowledge with you.

Boat Owner

Member since March 2017

I started sailing at the age of 12 with my grandfather. After an early, successful career racing in the Solent, my interest matured to coastal cruising in the eastern Mediterranean. Aramon is the second yacht that I have owned in the area because, along with the Caribbean, it offers the best sailing in the world.

The yacht is our home for 6 months of the year and the experience of sailing with the owners is quite unlike that of a conventional bareboat charter. You are our guests for the duration of the stay, and, we hope, our friends for life.

Our prices are very competitive because we occupy the for'ard cabin and this reduces the number of guests that we can accomodate. If you want a skippered yacht, we are very inexpensive because our price is low even by bareboat charter standards, and VERY LOW if you add in the price of hiring a skipper. We are however selective in whom we accept as guests.

We like good food and fine wine. We don't like crowds and try to go to places that are off the beaten track. In and around Athens that is not always easy. It is always tempting to head for the northern Cyclades rather the Saronic Gulf, but the Meltemi is a fearsome thing best avoided if blowing.

Extenisvely re-furbished this winter, with new bimini, custom cockpît cushions, cockpit lighting, and teak table, Aramon is very comfortable, and easy to sail. If you want to helm, go ahead! If you want to do nothing, that is absolutely fine. If you want to learn, we will do our best, but remember we are not professional instructors.

Location and Destination Guide

Usually this boat operates around Poros, GR.

Athens - the capital of Greece - is a fascinating ancient city, yet modern and sophisticated. The surrounding region of Attica is home of iconic monuments like Epidaurus theater or Temple of Poseidon, as well as beautiful islands of Hydra, Spetses, Aegina or Dokos. Sailo’s local team of passionate sailors recommend renting a yacht charter in Greece for day trips from Athens and explore Cape Sounion, the pistachio orchards on Aegina island or have a memorable dining experience on Dokos Island.

What type of yacht should I charter?

No matter what type of yacht you choose to charter, we know that you will have a fantastic time on the water. If you are more about the journey, and want a relaxing time aboard, then choose from one of the many sailboats on the platform. If you are more about the destination, and going fast, check out the powerboats on Sailo. For an exclusive experience, Sailo recommends chartering a luxurious yacht for the day. Finally, Sailo has access to many event boats as well for group outings from 50 - 1,000 guests. If you are still unsure, then just ask! more...

What should I bring?

Bring yourself, and some comfortable clothes suitable to the season you are going to be out on the water. Please keep in mind that it is often 10 degrees cooler out on the water, so a jacket or windbreaker is never a bad idea. We also recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses, as well as a swimsuit if appropriate for your charter location. Please coordinate with your captain regarding any food or drinks that you wish to bring aboard. For term-charters, Sailo recommends using soft-sided luggage, and keeping it simple. more...

How long does a rental last?

The basic daily rental is structured as either a quarter-, half-, or full-day. A quarter-day is two hours, a half-day is four hours, and a full-day is eight hours. You can also discuss a custom trip with the boat by contacting the owner through Sailo. Most term charters (weekly rentals) are from Saturday to Saturday. Keep in mind that the boat generally needs to be back at the dock by Friday evening, and you will need to be off the boat on Saturday morning so they can prepare the boat for the next guests. more...
