Sailing yacht Sunset is a 1982 37 foot O’Day owned and operated by Captain James . Sunset can hold up to 6 passengers and is ideal for smaller intimate sailing charters. Sunset is a very comfortable and spacious coastal cruising yacht with plenty of room aboard to stretch out and enjoy a sail. Sunset comes equipped with a center cockpit and two separate cabins, which makes for a very unique and convenient layout for longer sails. When the O’Day 37 first launched in 1978, the design was applauded for it’s layout and the boat’s sailing performance. The yacht is a great layout for long-term trips, where guests can enjoy privacy in the larger forward cabin while the Captain stays in the aft cabin.
Sailing yacht offers a wide variety of sailing charters in and around the New York Harbor area. Sail away on one of our two or three hour charters, or book a longer full day charter from New York Harbor to the surrounding waters. Contact us for more information or to request a special itinerary.

Crew
Sunset is owned and captained by Thomas, a familiar face in NY Harbor. Thomas began sailing at the ripe old age of ten in Central New Jersey. Among his long list of sailing attributes, Thomas has spent a total of 3 months at sea, traversed the Panama Canal, and crossed the Atlantic Ocean. A USCG licensed master, Thomas, and his fellow captains look forward to sharing the magic of sailing with all those aboard Sunset.

We had an amazing trip! We were well cared for and the boat was fantastic. A beautiful day all around!
What a spectacular evening! James was awesome! He was prompt, professional and courteous. We sailed out for the most spectacular sunset to photo the Statue of Liberty at such a perfect time. No one could have planned it any better. James had a blue tooth speaker so you could play music, he was very knowledgeable of local land marks and sailing while his assistant managed the sails and our wine glasses.
It was a very pleasurable evening and I would definitely recommend hopping on board !
Great experience. Perfect timing. and a FUN crew. OUr group of 5 had a blast cruising right up to the statue of liberty at sunset.
