Description

That's certainly the most common effect amongst visitors stepping on board the Saona 47. She was the first of Fountaine Pajot sailing catamarans to offer such optimized relaxation areas, and has inspired the very latest models. The surprising feature on this model is the large platform at aft, which is awesome for watersports activities, to sit or lay in just above water level, or even to lift the tender on or put it back in the water. You can even get the crew on board your dinghy before you splash it, making things much easier for many. No need to get the outboard off as the platform can bear the weight. With a large sofa and two sunbeds, the flybridge is very spacious. Perfect for chilling and enjoying the view, accompanying the skipper, enjoying some reading while soaking up sun, having your favorite drinks or local flavours of Greek cuisine accompanied with fine wine of local grape varietals (Agiorgitiko, Asyrtiko, Moschofilero, Roditis).
Many extras on board: Internet WiFi on board, generator, air-condition, water maker, Nespresso coffee machine, ice maker, powerful tender 30hp, hydraulic swimming platform, genaker asymetric AC5 sail, 5* hotel amenities, hydraulic gangway, teak deck, underwater lights, dimming lights, smart TV, electric fresh water toilets, Barbeque Gas-grill Water toys on board: 2xSUPs, wakeboard , children wakeboard, twable water tube, snorkeling and fishing equipment., experienced proffessional crew members, exceptional cuisine... are some from the superior add ons that this yacht can offer , in order to make your sailing holidays a fantastic lifetime memory.

About Dimitris

I am an enthusiast, motivated captain who has enjoyed a versatile sailing career starting in “Optimist” junior dinghy class in Kalamata, a seaside small city at south of Greece. My father as a sailing boat owner was the kick-off reason and was the one who first initiated me into the sea secrets. Being an athlete of Yacht Club of Greece since 2003 and member of the national team in the “470” Olympic class with significant awards and achievements, and participation in European and World championships around the world. At the same time and mainly after quitting Olympic sailing, I started to steer or being tactician to various competition sailing boats and famous Greek and Dubai (UAE) teams.

Throughout all my years I have been sailing not only in Greek seas but also in Atlantic Ocean, in Persian Gulf and in different European lakes. I am confident that I have gained the right standards of experience and discipline to perform the job required to highest level. I ensure that I hold the essential personal skills, education, knowledge, the seamanship and the communication skills, while being a licensed Yacht Master Offshore RYA/MCA. I have the education, the respect, the patience, punctuality, confidence, creativity, good sense of humour but always with the top priority of “Safety First” on my boat. All of that will make your trip even more delightful and memorable.

FAQs

What type of yacht should I charter?
No matter what type of yacht you choose to charter, we know that you will have a fantastic time on the water. If you are more about the journey, and want a relaxing time aboard, then choose from one of the many sailboats on the platform. If you are more about the destination, and going fast, check out the powerboats on Sailo. For an exclusive experience, Sailo recommends chartering a luxurious yacht for the day. Finally, Sailo has access to many event boats as well for group outings from 50 - 1,000 guests. If you are still unsure, then just ask! Read more
What should I bring?
Bring yourself, and some comfortable clothes suitable to the season you are going to be out on the water. Please keep in mind that it is often 10 degrees cooler out on the water, so a jacket or windbreaker is never a bad idea. We also recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses, as well as a swimsuit if appropriate for your charter location. Please coordinate with your captain regarding any food or drinks that you wish to bring aboard. For term-charters, Sailo recommends using soft-sided luggage, and keeping it simple. Read more
How long does a rental last?
The basic daily rental is structured as either a quarter-, half-, or full-day. A quarter-day is two hours, a half-day is four hours, and a full-day is eight hours. You can also discuss a custom trip with the boat by contacting the owner through Sailo. Most term charters (weekly rentals) are from Saturday to Saturday. Keep in mind that the boat generally needs to be back at the dock by Friday evening, and you will need to be off the boat on Saturday morning so they can prepare the boat for the next guests.
