Tom and Jonah will be your host for a lovely sail out of Jersey City to enjoy the NYC harbor and its glorious views. Tom (the skipper) has been sailing since a kid in Southern California and has sailed in the NYC waters since 2018 and has been organizing day sailing outings (sunset cruises, sailing lessons and day outings) since 2022. Jonah (the owner) bases his boat in Jersey City and is an expert in boating since his youth in the bayous of Louisiana.
We offer the beauty of New York harbor, which can be enhanced with sailing lessons if you are interested. Want some hands-on sailing experience? Have you taken an ASA course (or preparing for one?) and need to practice? Other customers just want to come along for the ride in a beautiful and peaceful environment with fresh air and winds on your cheeks. Hot in the summer? You can come on board and go for a swim while we anchor with Manhattan in the background. Sunset sails are fantastic out here!

Crew
Tom is a US Coast Guard licensed skipper ('six pack' license) who has sailed on Long Island Sound since 2019. He began sailing in California in the 1960s then sailed near Boston in the 1970s and has sailed in international waters in Italy, Greece, Turkey, Hong Kong, and Thailand. Tom and his wife bought the boat in 2019 and operated sailing day outings out of New Rochelle, NY. The new owner Jonah bought the boat from Tom in 2025 and moved it to Jersey City. To operate the boat for day outings in NYC harbor, Jonah (the owner) works with Tom (the skipper) together as a team giving safe sailing conditions for your outing.

We had a wonderful time. We are family of four and the boat had space for all of us. Tom and his crew have been great hosts, took us for a very nice tour, shared stories and laughers and showed us a very nice part of the long island sound. The trip started at 11 until about 4pm. Communication with Tom has always been excellent and clear. We will do this again! Thanks Tom and Max for help on making an unforgettable birthday present!

Owner
I am an American with an international background. PhD in Russian History (I lived in the USSR twice, for my academic work). Then switched to banking and started working on Wall Street in the 1980s. Became a Citigroup Managing Director, with nearly three decades in corporate & investment banking. Worked with Citi in Italy, France, Korea and Asia (regional job). Then worked in Saudi Arabia for 8 years in finance & investments, and now in NYC in investment banking & financial consulting. My sailing experience is captured in the Crew sections for my boat. Meanwhile my languages are (besides English) French, Italian, Spanish and Russian, with a bit of German, Korean and Arabic as well. My life motto is to show my love for nature and humanity through good deeds and words in my daily life. I love sailing because I love the air and beauty of the water and the exhilaration of moving in the water. I find a sailing outing to bring out the best in my guests. As a sailor, I've received a lot of praise from my customers and friends because they tell me I can explain things clearly and calmly, and they seem always to enjoy the outings on our boat.
