Description

Relax and Enjoy the NYC Skyline aboard a modern spacious Hunter Marine Passage 450. Capt Mark grew up on the Hudson River and brings years of sailing experience. He is a teaching captain, thinking out loud always making all other captains feel very comfortable.

The boat can be boarded at an additional $150 Marina fee at the Liberty Landing Marina in Jersey City or in Brooklyn they charge $150 flat fee plus $10 per person at the One° 15 Marina.

Captain Mark is an entertainer and avid musician and most New Yorkers have heard him performing around town or on the radio doing jingles.
He never quit his day job as an engineer CPA accountant legal document writer, code writer and consultant in the daily news paper industry. Everyone will be thoroughly entertained.

A standard four hour cruise includes sailing around the tip of Manhattan, seeing the New York City skyline, passing close by the Statue of Liberty, and teaching other sailors tips and tricks for big boat sail handling and maneuvering. This includes sailing with fractional sail exposed on the windy days to keep the ride nice and smooth and very stable.

Given the full Bimini and raised solar panels covering the entire after deck everyone can relax in the shade.

Ice-filled coolers are available, and there is always a stock of 16.9 ounce bottles of water, Crystal Light ice tea mix, and whatever alcohol you want to bring onto the boat.

Cruises can also be easily specially catered upon request.

The boat is a center cockpit sloop-rigged sailboat with in-mast furling main and furling jib. Aft steps give easy access to the water. Aft hot and cold shower at steps.

The aft deck can easily accommodate six to 11 people seated and specific chairs and two others sitting on towels on the back deck under the shade of the solar panels.

The large center cockpit can easily accommodate eight people.

There is plenty of space for everyone to spread out on deck during a 4 or 8 hour sail.

Full galley with microwave. Bluetooth speakers to be driven by anyone’s smart phone playlist.

The boat is fast and it does it’s theoretical hull speed of 8.4 kn with half tanks and flat seas with only 18 knots of wind.

Several cushioned chase lounge seating.

We celebrated my boyfriend’s 30th birthday On the boat. Everyone had a great time, the boat was clean but it was a bit hard to move around on (people walking around the boat wet and such). Mark was a great entertainer and everyone had lots of fun. Will definitely do another trip!

Many years of sailing and entertaining experience.

We can reposition the boat easily to City Island of the Chelsea Pier on 59th or the 79th St Boat Basin on the West side of Manhattan.

Location and Destination Guide

Usually this boat operates around Jersey City, NJ.

New York City looks great from the ground, but that view from the water is something else! Jump aboard a Sailo boat rental from the Big Apple and experience the thrill of the sea - and snap plenty of incredible pictures. Sailing in NYC is a must on your summer bucket list, whether you are visiting or a New Yorker.

It might not be the first thing you think of when finding things to do in New York City, but renting a boat for a full day or just a few hours is a truly memorable experience.
