Yacht C38 range Cruiser Line – Sporty and fun to drive with just the right amount of bling and plenty of chic.

Madeleine is an icon of style and comfort. Innovative Italian design, elegant style and light seeping in through its large windows, much like a veranda, that’s what gives rise to the feeling of becoming one with the sea.

The C38 is typical of a lot of sportsyachts in terms of cockpit layout featuring U-shape seating around a foldout table aft to port and a wetbar opposite. Forward of the seating is a large chaise lounge adjacent the starboard helm.

The teak-laid cockpit is roomy and all on a single level. The seating is wide and comfortable and the foldout table, when open, is big enough to accommodate all the components of a large buffet lunch and, when folded, still provides plenty of room for drinks. The wetbar with glass bench top and funky flick-mixer includes a stainless steel sink and under-bench fridge and icemaker.

Being located close to the cockpit entry also means that if you're lounging around on the swimplatform, which on these type of boats usually forms part of the outdoor entertaining area, you don't need to go far to get a cool drink or a snack. Incidentally, the swimplatform features a fully drained icebox, swim ladder and hot and cold transom shower.

The chaise lounge adjacent to the helm is a genuine double and a nice spot to sit or lounge underway, chatting with the skipper. Overhead a full GRP hardtop means that all-weather boating is an option, but if the sun is shining, then open up the huge electrically operated sunroof and get yourself a dose of vitamin D.

There's lots of choice on where to relax on this boat and the foredeck provides another option. Getting there along the sidedecks is simple enough with high siderails and cleverly placed handholds making it safe and easy. The foredeck features a large sunpad with inbuilt drinkholders and a pair of waterproof speakers.

Below decks in the compact galley/saloon, light walnut woodwork combined with fabric wall panels, white-gloss cupboards, contrasting bench and table tops and dark leather seating all blend nicely providing the anticipated chic. Overhead, skylights let in plenty of natural light as do portholes at either side, which also provide cross-flow ventilation.

Two cabins lead off the galley/saloon and both are large and well fitted out. The master cabin forward has an island queen bed and plenty of storage and hanging space. The mid-cabin features twin single beds with an infill to convert to a king size. There's good head-height inside the entry to this cabin, where inbuilt seating has storage underneath. Both cabins feature plenty of natural light with opening portholes and, in the forward cabin, an overhead hatch. The mid-cabin features large panoramic hull windows.

The single bathroom amidships serves as an en suite to the master cabin with a separate door to service the second cabin and act as the dayhead. Here too the style continues with a fashionable ceramic bowl, mirrored cabinets and a separate shower with a plexiglass door. The head is located inside the shower cubicle, a teak lid forming a shower seat when not in use.

Joystick docking! It makes more comfortable, safe and enjoyable to dock for many people.

“Fly by wire” software commands from the helm mounted joystick control the individual sterndrives with just the right throttle and thrust to move the boat into your chosen spot. The joystick is fully intuitive. Push the joystick to port or starboard and your boat moves confidently sideways. Forward and aft movements of the joystick propel the boat in the same direction. Twist the knob, the boat spins on its own axis. And what is more.

Challenging berth spaces now become easily accessible and, by effectively combining direction and thrust, the joystick helps overcome the effects of wind and current. Last but not least, low and high RPM maneuverability is achieved with the push of a button.

We chartered this beautiful, luxury vessel from Pula, Croatia for the day. Being tourists from the states, I was a little cautious of renting a boat for the day online. However, there were two families anxious to explore the northern, Croatian coast and we only had one day on our itinerary, so we hoped it would be a good experience. Well from the moment we contacted them, this company was amazing! Dejan is the manager and he communicated with us daily about the payment and charter details and then met us on the docks to bid us farewell. The captain was incredibly knowledgeable and accommodated our every request, including having drinks and snacks available when we arrived. We enjoyed his company and he taught us quite a bit about the Croatia coast as well as his gorgeous, beautifully equiped boat. This boat was perfect for the 10 of us with great deck-space for lounging and a spacious cabin we used for changing and storage. The weather was not ideal but because of the captain's knowledge of the sea and surrounding area, we all felt incredibly safe and enjoyed ourselves immensely. We stopped in a cove for swimming and snorkeling and docked in a marina to explore a cute, little town and have lunch. Thank you Dejan and crew for making this day the best one of our 10-day adventure in Croatia and Italy!

What type of yacht should I charter?

No matter what type of yacht you choose to charter, we know that you will have a fantastic time on the water. If you are more about the journey, and want a relaxing time aboard, then choose from one of the many sailboats on the platform. If you are more about the destination, and going fast, check out the powerboats on Sailo. For an exclusive experience, Sailo recommends chartering a luxurious yacht for the day. Finally, Sailo has access to many event boats as well for group outings from 50 - 1,000 guests. If you are still unsure, then just ask! more...

What should I bring?

Bring yourself, and some comfortable clothes suitable to the season you are going to be out on the water. Please keep in mind that it is often 10 degrees cooler out on the water, so a jacket or windbreaker is never a bad idea. We also recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses, as well as a swimsuit if appropriate for your charter location. Please coordinate with your captain regarding any food or drinks that you wish to bring aboard. For term-charters, Sailo recommends using soft-sided luggage, and keeping it simple. more...

How long does a rental last?

The basic daily rental is structured as either a quarter-, half-, or full-day. A quarter-day is two hours, a half-day is four hours, and a full-day is eight hours. You can also discuss a custom trip with the boat by contacting the owner through Sailo. Most term charters (weekly rentals) are from Saturday to Saturday. Keep in mind that the boat generally needs to be back at the dock by Friday evening, and you will need to be off the boat on Saturday morning so they can prepare the boat for the next guests. more...
