Description

This reliable Chris Craft sport fishing yacht is big, comfortable and made for offshore fishing. So don't waste your time and money getting sunburned, cramped and beat up on one of those smaller charter boats. Instead get to the fish in style and comfort. She is a 37 ft. (42' loa) dependable Chris Craft sport fish/yacht, having a large cabin and spacious fore and aft decks complete with fishing poles, tackle, bait, and knowledgeable deckhand and USCG licensed captain.

This vessel has a large main salon cabin, sofa, galley, two state rooms, refrigerator, microwave and a private full sized bathroom. She also has some of the latest navigational electronics and rescue safety equipment... And if all that isn't enough, our deckhand will filet and bag your catch once we get back to the dock!

All individuals taking part in these offshore fishing day trips are required to have a valid Texas fishing license with a saltwater fishing stamp endorsement. Cost for a single day fishing license for Texas residents is approximately $10.00. For non-residence individuals the cost is approximately: $15.00. Full season licenses are also available at various prices. These fishing licenses can be easily purchased at some local bait shops and or sporting goods stores such as: Academy, Cute Rate Tackle, Gander Mt., Wal-Mart and or Oshman's, to name a few. To find a local location where you can purchase a license or to acquire one on line, please click on the Texas Parks and Wildlife logo below.

STUFF TO BRING: Bring a light lunch and or snacks along with beverages to keep you hydrated. As is the case with any out door activity, you may want to bring sunscreen and sunglasses. If motion sickness is a concern, we recommend that you bring an over the counter remedy such as: Dramamine or Bonine. Please do not wear shoes that will mark the deck of the boat. Tennis shoes and sandals with light colored soles or boat shoes are fine; dark colored or black rubber sole foot wear is a big no–no, Thank you for your cooperation.

TIPPING POLICY: Gratuities primarily go to the deckhand and are in addition to the charter fee. These individuals work exceptionally hard so please be a generous tipper. For a trip consisting of six passengers, a fair tipping amount would be $35.00 to $40.00 from each person. Of course anything higher would be greatly appreciated and tipping the captain is optional... Thank you.

FAQs

What type of yacht should I charter?
No matter what type of yacht you choose to charter, we know that you will have a fantastic time on the water. If you are more about the journey, and want a relaxing time aboard, then choose from one of the many sailboats on the platform. If you are more about the destination, and going fast, check out the powerboats on Sailo. For an exclusive experience, Sailo recommends chartering a luxurious yacht for the day. Finally, Sailo has access to many event boats as well for group outings from 50 - 1,000 guests. If you are still unsure, then just ask! Read more
What should I bring?
Bring yourself, and some comfortable clothes suitable to the season you are going to be out on the water. Please keep in mind that it is often 10 degrees cooler out on the water, so a jacket or windbreaker is never a bad idea. We also recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses, as well as a swimsuit if appropriate for your charter location. Please coordinate with your captain regarding any food or drinks that you wish to bring aboard. For term-charters, Sailo recommends using soft-sided luggage, and keeping it simple. Read more
How long does a rental last?
The basic daily rental is structured as either a quarter-, half-, or full-day. A quarter-day is two hours, a half-day is four hours, and a full-day is eight hours. You can also discuss a custom trip with the boat by contacting the owner through Sailo. Most term charters (weekly rentals) are from Saturday to Saturday. Keep in mind that the boat generally needs to be back at the dock by Friday evening, and you will need to be off the boat on Saturday morning so they can prepare the boat for the next guests.
