Description

Let your imagination be your guide while you plan an escape to the beautiful waters and islands of The Bahamas. There is no time table to be strictly adhered to, as it's your time, and you can do as much or as little as you want!

Here are just a few ideas for activities you can do to make your trip the most memorable part of your vacation!

Snorkel Grand Bahama's colorful reefs, swim or just relax in the warm and beautiful tropical waters of the Bahamas National Park, a land/sea wildlife preserve. Or explore spectacular reefs of Elk Horn Coral and other vibrant underwater delights as well as tropical marine life.

Enjoy a Private Island Excursion off of Grand Bahama and take advantage of the breathtaking beauty and lack of crowds. Go shelling and sea fan collecting for miles on secluded white sand beaches, or take a nature walk.

Have your captain dive, spear and prepare you a fresh fish lunch. Then you can relax on a beautiful, secluded beach while you enjoy your delicious lobster or fish cooked over an open fire with savory Bahamian seasonings. Then later you can treat yourself to a local delicacy of conch salad made fresh on the boat from that day's dive.

Or why not catch your own lunch. This boat offers Grand Bahama Light Tackle Fishing and Deep Sea Fishing. Feel the excitement and thrill of reeling in Yellow Tails, Grouper and other local fish while trolling the crystal blue waters of The Bahamas. Try Bahamian hand line fishing as well! We provide the equipment on our fishing charters and you may combine fishing with other activities.

You can really do it all in The Bahamas!

About AJ

I'm an 9th generation, born and bred, Bahamian. I've been a boat captain for a bit over 29 years now, and in that time I have dove all over the Bahamian Islands, mostly as a commercial fisherman, fishing for lobster and fish.

Growing up and living in the Bahamas has given me a lot of insight about The Bahamas and now I've decided that I would like to share it with others. I want visitors to come, see, and to experience the Bahamas from a native point of view, I want to show them the paradise that I call home!

FAQs

What type of yacht should I charter?
No matter what type of yacht you choose to charter, we know that you will have a fantastic time on the water. If you are more about the journey, and want a relaxing time aboard, then choose from one of the many sailboats on the platform. If you are more about the destination, and going fast, check out the powerboats on Sailo. For an exclusive experience, Sailo recommends chartering a luxurious yacht for the day. Finally, Sailo has access to many event boats as well for group outings from 50 - 1,000 guests. If you are still unsure, then just ask! Read more
What should I bring?
Bring yourself, and some comfortable clothes suitable to the season you are going to be out on the water. Please keep in mind that it is often 10 degrees cooler out on the water, so a jacket or windbreaker is never a bad idea. We also recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses, as well as a swimsuit if appropriate for your charter location. Please coordinate with your captain regarding any food or drinks that you wish to bring aboard. For term-charters, Sailo recommends using soft-sided luggage, and keeping it simple. Read more
How long does a rental last?
The basic daily rental is structured as either a quarter-, half-, or full-day. A quarter-day is two hours, a half-day is four hours, and a full-day is eight hours. You can also discuss a custom trip with the boat by contacting the owner through Sailo. Most term charters (weekly rentals) are from Saturday to Saturday. Keep in mind that the boat generally needs to be back at the dock by Friday evening, and you will need to be off the boat on Saturday morning so they can prepare the boat for the next guests.
