Our experience with this rental was disappointing. Despite booking an 8-hour trip, the captain initially wanted to cut it down to just 5 hours. After some back-and-forth, we were only able to agree on 6.5 hours, which felt unfair given what we had paid for. Additionally, while we understood that fuel costs were not included, the $150 charge seemed excessive.
Communication leading up to the trip was also lacking. I repeatedly asked for an address or the name of the marina but was only provided with a Google Maps link that led to the middle of a road, making it difficult to find the location. On top of that, I specified at booking that we did not want beer and preferred a different alcoholic refreshment. The booking agent assured us there would be other options, but when we arrived, there were none.
That being said, the boat itself was well-equipped, and the captain was friendly and professional. Unfortunately, the lack of clear communication and issues with the trip length and extra charges overshadowed what could have been a great experience.
