Description

“ISLAND SURFARI” is the perfect boat rental for couples traveling on a budget but still want the experience of a private charter!

Taking into account the groups interests, experience level, close monitoring of the weather and sea conditions, we can help make the best of any day at sea!

We'll help you customize your day to whatever experience you’re looking for. Whether it’s above or below the sea – from sea turtles to shipwrecks, from beginner snorkelers to advanced divers, from bar hoppers to sunbathers! We’re happy to make all that and more possible!

Your boat charter includes:

-captains fee
-complementary snorkel equipment for all sizes
-cooler stocked with ice and bottled drinking water
-state of the art bluetooth stereo system
-comfortable cushioned seating in shade or sun
-dry storage for you gear
-ladder and swim platform for easy water access
-U.S. Coast Guard approved safety equipment
-If traveling to the BVI: prepared customs and immigration forms saving you upwards of 30 minutes charter time keeping you in front of the crowds!

Crew
It’s not by coincidence that our team of knowledgeable and experienced local captains spend as much time on the sea as most people do in their “nine-to-five” office. We do it because it’s what we love, what we know, and what we do best! We’re happy to offer advice on what to look for while snorkeling underwater, point out different aspects of the surrounding natural wonders, spin a story or two about the history and local folklore of the islands, top off the ice in your cold cocktail or just turn up the tunes, kick back, relax and let you enjoy the ride.

Location and Destination Guide

Usually this boat operates around St. John, VI.

The BVI’s have it all: pristine white beaches, turquoise waters, and countless fun destinations. For a true tropical paradise, hop on your yacht charter in the BVI’s and sail to Cane Garden Bay on Tortola. With a sailboat charter in BVI, you can explore untouched natural wonders on Sandy Spit Island or choose one of our boat rentals for Virgin Gorda Baths. If you sail the islands in the winter, New Year’s Eve on Jost Van Dyke is a must on your list of things to do in the British Virgin Islands!

FAQs

What type of yacht should I charter?

No matter what type of yacht you choose to charter, we know that you will have a fantastic time on the water. If you are more about the journey, and want a relaxing time aboard, then choose from one of the many sailboats on the platform. If you are more about the destination, and going fast, check out the powerboats on Sailo. For an exclusive experience, Sailo recommends chartering a luxurious yacht for the day. Finally, Sailo has access to many event boats as well for group outings from 50 - 1,000 guests. If you are still unsure, then just ask! more...

What should I bring?

Bring yourself, and some comfortable clothes suitable to the season you are going to be out on the water. Please keep in mind that it is often 10 degrees cooler out on the water, so a jacket or windbreaker is never a bad idea. We also recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses, as well as a swimsuit if appropriate for your charter location. Please coordinate with your captain regarding any food or drinks that you wish to bring aboard. For term-charters, Sailo recommends using soft-sided luggage, and keeping it simple. more...

How long does a rental last?

The basic daily rental is structured as either a quarter-, half-, or full-day. A quarter-day is two hours, a half-day is four hours, and a full-day is eight hours. You can also discuss a custom trip with the boat by contacting the owner through Sailo. Most term charters (weekly rentals) are from Saturday to Saturday. Keep in mind that the boat generally needs to be back at the dock by Friday evening, and you will need to be off the boat on Saturday morning so they can prepare the boat for the next guests. more...
