I am an old salt who has been messing with boats for almost 40 years. I managed a shared boat program for 7+ years before launching the LA Sailing Club and School... i just thought there was a better way to do it. I think i taught most of the members who joined how to sail, many of whom had never been on a sailboat. I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Brazil, a teacher in North Philly; a headhunter and am a serial entrepreneur... and and and. I have been married for 47 years; two grown children; and a MEd. from Temple, undergraduate degree from U of Cincinnati. And for what it is worth, I have a US Coast Guard Captain's License and my boat has been examined and approved as an UPV.See full profile
