I am an old salt who has been messing with boats for almost 40 years. I managed a shared boat program for 7+ years before launching the LA Sailing Club and School... i just thought there was a better way to do it. I think i taught most of the members who joined how to sail, many of whom had never been on a sailboat. I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Brazil, a teacher in North Philly; a headhunter and am a serial entrepreneur... and and and. I have been married for 47 years; two grown children; and a MEd. from Temple, undergraduate degree from U of Cincinnati. And for what it is worth, I have a US Coast Guard Captain's License and my boat has been examined and approved as an UPV.
Usually this boat operates around Marina Del Rey, CA.
Sailo’s private cruises out of Los Angeles are the perfect way to escape the hectic environment of the city. Rent a sailboat in Marina del Rey and experience whale watching in Santa Monica Bay. If you want to travel a bit farther, a private Channel Islands cruise will allow you to truly unplug and admire “the Galapagos of North America” from the privacy of one of our yacht rentals in Los Angeles. For a memorable sailing adventure, we also recommend one of our most popular cruises out of Los Angeles - a Catalina Island cruise - a great overnight escape that offers a resort-like atmosphere and natural beauty.
