Belize Sailing Vacations is the perfect all-inclusive vacation for the family, friends, a romantic getaway, or honeymoon. Rendezvous diving or fishing expeditions can be arranged while others in your party may prefer snorkeling, kayaking or beachcombing, or even a day at the spa.
In addition, we offer American Sailing Association Classes that offer a chance for those who are interested in expanding their knowledge and gaining confidence on the water. Your instructor will also be your captain and classes happen throughout the day with plenty of breaks for other activities. You can also journey inland to witness grand Mayan temples, float on a tube through the largest cave network in Central America, ride horses through lush rainforest or zip line through the jungle, a perfect contrast to the turquoise waters of the ocean.

Yacht Specs
Mary (formerly ‘Flip Flop’) is the ultimate boat for entertaining, with her expansive indoor-outdoor living space that flows from kitchen to the bar, cockpit, helm, dining, swim bench, and grill. This convivial layout allows your whole group to fully enjoy each other’s company for meals, sundowners, games or parties, yet there is still plenty of room to stretch out and relax on the trampoline and extensive foredeck should you prefer a break from the action. Mary takes island living to the next level with her signature bright and luxurious color scheme, that sets the tone for your tropical all-inclusive island-hopping adventure from the moment you step on board.
Mary sleeps 6 comfortably in her 3 en-suite queen cabins, and can accommodate up to 2 additional guests on the convertible saloon sofa bed. As with all our boats, Mary has every water toy you could want including kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, floats, and more, plus fishing and snorkel gear.

On the Water
Enjoy world-class snorkeling directly from your yacht with the expertise and local knowledge from your captain and guide. Swim with sting rays & nurse sharks at Hol Chan Marine Reserve or go on a reef & marine eco-tour in Caye Caulker. We explore manatee reserves by kayak, spot dolphins from the bow, and amaze at the prolific birdlife from paddle boards while working up an appetite for the nights catch.
Fishing and Trolling
Every day we set sail we troll for our catch of the day, which can include king mackerel, cobia, bonito tuna and snapper, which is whimsically prepared by your chef and 1st mate. For the enthusiasts, we can make arrangements (for an extra charge) for fly fishing, reef fishing or deep sea fishing. Our captains also carry spear guns on board for an opportune moment to spear a lobster or snapper to add to the pot!
Under the Water
‘Rendezvous’ diving can be arranged throughout the country using the best dive shops with 5-star industry ratings. From certifications courses, to refresher dives, to excursions to the great Blue Hole, we can arrange it all as part of your Belize sailing itinerary.
On Land Excursions
Whether you want to climb grand Mayan temples, canoe down river through the exotic jungle, clamber through the largest cave network in Central America or be pampered in an award winning spa, we can tailor make it all as part of your sailing vacation.

Belize Sailing Vacations is proud to be an American Sailing Association (ASA) affiliated sailing school and the only ASA school in Belize. ASA Classes offer a chance to experience an all-inclusive private charter with others who are interested in expanding their knowledge and gaining confidence on the water. Our experienced instructors deliver ASA sailing school material in a safe and fun learning environment surrounded by some of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean.

Eric Ortega
A born and bred “San Pedrano” (referring to the residents of San Pedro, Ambergris Caye), Eric was privileged to have grown up on one of the most classic island fishing villages in the world. He also divided time during his younger years in the village of “Crooked Tree”, home of the Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary, a protected area dubbed one of the best birding sites in Belize.
After his studies, Eric joined his uncle in the tourism industry, learning to captain tour boats for several years before achieving his Divemaster, then his SSI Dive Instructor certifications. Being a lover of the ocean, sailing has become a huge passion for Eric, so combining his tour guiding experience with the ability to sail his guests down the magnificent barrier reef of Belize, to remote islands and unrivalled snorkel spots means you are in for a trip of a lifetime!
Kainie Manuel
Kainie has been chef for Belize Sailing Vacations since early 2014. In addition to providing guests exquisite meals on every charter, her thoughtful detailing and magic touches go the extra mile – she knows how to throw a party! Growing up the eldest in a family of 5, Kainie learned to cook from an early age. At home, recipes were handed down from Grandma and shared between the aunts. That sparked her love of the kitchen, the spot her Grandma called, “el corazon de la casa (the heart of the home).
As an island girl, Kainie has been in love with the Caribbean Sea and marine life from an early age. She learned to dive at the age of 12, a sport that she finds relaxing up to today. Kainie is truly passionate about sharing her country to those willing to have a memorable time in Belize.

Cliff’s sailing experience includes offshore Yacht Racing and the San Francisco International Yacht Racing scene since 1980. Cliff brings his expertise of navigation, weather, communications, boat safety and first aide management skills to the Belize Sailing Vacations Yacht Charter . Cliff has over 25 years of racing and cruising experience ranging from 505’s to 70 foot Maxis.
With over 10 years sailing Belize, Cliff’s expertise as a skipper and local knowledge will ensure safety and fun during your Belize sailing vacation. Cliff is also a Licensed Belize Captain, certified by the Belize Port Authority. Cliff’s cruising experience ranges from the Pacific to throughout the Caribbean including the Bahamas, British Virgin Islands, Gulf of Mexico, and the Rio Dulce of Guatemala.
Cliff has been a sailing instructor for junior yacht club programs for many years, which makes learning how to sail for the first time with Belize Sailing Vacations easy and a lot of fun. Cliff’s special interest also includes sailing, PADI diving, fishing, and gourmet cooking,
