How are payments handled on the Sailo site?

Boat renters pay the cost of the boat and captain listing, plus any applicable fees, and the security deposit hold. The cost of fuel is at the discretion of each boat owner; it may be included in the price or may be an additional charge. This information is always reflected in the boat profile and at the time of booking. Charges take place at the time of booking confirmation through Stripe, a secure payment platform and money gets deposited in an escrow account. All payments are secured and renters may choose to pay by any major credit card.

Boat or Captain pricing may vary depending on the day of the week or holidays. To see the most accurate cost of the listing when searching, enter your travel dates and book your boat and captain. For any questions about a listing’s price, please email the boat owner or captain through Sailo’s platform - they are your best resource since they set their own pricing. For example, they may have special pricing for certain seasons or days, like weekends or holidays or set special weekly prices (7+ nights) or monthly prices (28+ nights).
