Description

If you are looking for an adventure in one of the world's most beautiful sailing and diving destinations, you have come to the right place. Located in the Abacos (northeastern Bahamas), we provide from Treasure Cay (or Marsh Harbour) a 4 to 7-day private (your party only) fully crewed yacht complete with crew (captain, chef/mate as well as certified sailing and diving instructors) on board. All meals are included. The proposed rates are for 4 passengers. For 2 or 3, thanks to contact us.

The Dream Ketcher now has two independent double cabins available for guests welcoming in the finest comfortable accommodations up to four adults. Perfect for holidays with friends or family! The master aft cabin, newly renovated, is completely independent (entrance from the rear of the central cockpit) and benefits from private head (shower and toilet). It has a large double bed, ideal for rocking to sleep after a nice day of sailing! The forward cabin is a spacious cabin with a double or twin mattress . Each guest has wide shelves and storage areas in order to organize the contents of its luggage in its own cabin. Heads have cupboards for personal belongings. The two cabins are equipped with 12v and 110v outlets so guests can safely recharge their small electronic equipment (cameras, phones, laptop, tablet, etc.). To optimize the general comfort, the two cabins are equipped with quiet fans, as well as with wind scoops: refreshing breeze comes to caress your face wherever we anchor.

Far removed from the hustle and bustle of Nassau and Freeport, the Abacos are known as the Out-Islands. This is the best place in The Bahamas for your holidays on a fully crewed sailboat! Located in the northeastern Bahamas, Great Abaco Island and a string of barrier islands form over 130 square miles of the protected, clear, aquamarine waters known as the Sea of Abaco. The Sea of Abaco is the best kept secret as one of the world's premier sailing destinations. We offer you to discover it on board our sailboat!

The crew of the DREAM KETCHER, based in the Abaco (Bahamas) since 2008 is a delightful and very professional husband and wife team with a love for travel, the sea, boats, fine food and wine and both have an international sporting event management background. Eric & Nathalie are always described as very funny people who enjoy life at its best and share that with their guests; an evening spent in the cockpit, listening to jazz or other timeless music, enjoying a tasty dinner, drinking good wines and rewriting history are common activities to them! Open minded, always eager to discover new cultures and getting along with new people, Eric & Nathalie are typical citizens of the world. A week on board with this couple is always described as magic, incredible and special.

What our guests often said about staying on board is the following: "Being on the Dream Ketcher is like a 5-star all-inclusive on water. She is a beautiful boutique sailboat owned and operated by the most wonderful couple. You might be hesitant to spend a week with 2 people you don't know but after minutes you will feel like long lost friends. Eric and Nathalie have an amazing talent of making you feel welcome and special". Honestly, this is our goal. We try to accommodate all requests and needs including gluten free meals, no nuts, no pork or no dairy. We are pleased and feel blessed to welcome families, couples, honeymooners, friends, everybody who wants to enjoy a very special time on the water with gourmet meals & incredible sceneries.

Eric was born in Quebec, Canada, and moved almost 40 times in his life, living on both side of the ocean, and from eastern to western Canada. This gave him the opportunity to become bilingual, he speaks fluently French and English. He moved to Europe for several years where his position gave him the opportunity to travel in more than 30 countries and 5 continents. What he got from his youth is a love of nature and outdoor activities as he spent most of his summer holidays on a wild island of the St-Laurent River. He crossed the Atlantic Ocean on a 35ft boat from France to Martinique followed by an extensive stay in the Caribbean Sea. Being an epicurean, with a special love for cheese and wines, one of his passions is to every evening proudly set the table for dinner on the nicely designed cockpit table! Eric's priority is to bring fun and joy on board for all guests so that they have an unforgettable time! Nathalie is from France, from a small city near Lyon where food is what life is all about! Maybe that's where her passion for cooking comes from. Not only does she love cooking but she always presents dishes at their best so that not only do guests relish the wonderful aromas, their eyes too enjoy the feast, before their taste buds are pampered. Her aim is for guests to live a dream during their holidays, having nothing to do but to relax in their cabin or on deck with a cocktail in hand, ensuring that sceneries above and below sea level meet!

FAQs

What type of yacht should I charter?

No matter what type of yacht you choose to charter, we know that you will have a fantastic time on the water. If you are more about the journey, and want a relaxing time aboard, then choose from one of the many sailboats on the platform. If you are more about the destination, and going fast, check out the powerboats on Sailo. For an exclusive experience, Sailo recommends chartering a luxurious yacht for the day. Finally, Sailo has access to many event boats as well for group outings from 50 - 1,000 guests. If you are still unsure, then just ask! more...

What should I bring?

Bring yourself, and some comfortable clothes suitable to the season you are going to be out on the water. Please keep in mind that it is often 10 degrees cooler out on the water, so a jacket or windbreaker is never a bad idea. We also recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses, as well as a swimsuit if appropriate for your charter location. Please coordinate with your captain regarding any food or drinks that you wish to bring aboard. For term-charters, Sailo recommends using soft-sided luggage, and keeping it simple. more...

How long does a rental last?

The basic daily rental is structured as either a quarter-, half-, or full-day. A quarter-day is two hours, a half-day is four hours, and a full-day is eight hours. You can also discuss a custom trip with the boat by contacting the owner through Sailo. Most term charters (weekly rentals) are from Saturday to Saturday. Keep in mind that the boat generally needs to be back at the dock by Friday evening, and you will need to be off the boat on Saturday morning so they can prepare the boat for the next guests. more...
