Luar offers guests three cabins with king-sized beds, with one being an over-sized master suite. Every king cabin has A/C, its own fresh water electric toilet, vanity and separate showers, complete with body jets sure to provide a refreshing shower after a long day of swimming and sun. A fourth single cabin is also available with its own toilet, ensuite shower, and A/C to accommodate a child or single individual.

All cabins were recently outfitted with 100% Peruvian Pima Cotton linens, down comforters, and bath towels of 100% Ring Spun Denizli Turkish cotton. In addition to onboard WIFI and DirecTV, Luar has a private network with a media database of over 500 movies and thousands of songs.

Luar has a spacious salon with a large oval table comfortably seats 6-8 for indoor dining, a separate curved couch for lounging or watching the 50” TV, and a wet bar with wine-cooler, espresso machine, mini-fridge and ice-maker. The galley is conveniently located downstairs allows for more lounging room inside the salon.

Outside, Luar has a very large covered cockpit with several sofas to relax on and a large table for families and friends to gather and enjoy a meal or games. Two sets of steps lead from the cockpit to the water, making it easy to go for a dip, and outdoor showers to make rinsing off after your swim quick and easy.

Heading upstairs to the fly-bridge, nicknamed “The Bikini Lounge”, allows guests to enjoy completely unobstructed views of the crystal blue water as we sail. We’ve recently added a cocktail table to the lounge area, making it the perfect place to lay out, catch some rays, and enjoy snacks and some of Captain Jon’s signature cocktails.

Water Fun
Luar has all gear to make sure you make the best of your time in the Caribbean. Her tender will take you ashore anywhere you like or to go wakeboarding, water skiing, and tubing. If you prefer a calmer adventure, Luar also carries two SUP’s, a 2-person kayak, and snorkeling gear that can be used to explore each anchorage we visit. For even more relaxation, she is outfitted with numerous floats, including a large floating island for guests to enjoy.

In addition to onboard WIFI and DirecTV, Luar has a private network with a media database of over 500 movies and thousands of songs. Guests can access all of this simply by connecting any of their personal devices to our network and streaming the content anywhere on the boat. All of these choices make enjoying a movie in the salon on our 50” 3D flat screen with Bose surround sound that much better.

Capt. Jonathan Flint Jonathan fell in love with the water at the age of 9 when he took his first sailing class on a 14 foot Sunfish with the Boy Scouts. Over the next several years on his path to becoming an Eagle Scout he jumped at every opportunity to spend days sailing and fishing. It was years after college when he realized that he could turn passion into a job he loves. While most of his hobbies used to be more adrenaline-driven (skydiving, racing motorcycles, rock climbing), life in the islands allowed him to slow down and appreciate the little things - a beautiful sunset over the water, the zen-like silence of diving well below the ocean's surface. His love of entertaining, as well as his years in the hospitality industry, makes him the consummate host. Jon holds his USCG Masters License as well as STCW 95, Sailing Endorsement, Towing Endorsement, First Responder, and CPR/AED. His background in construction and project management and his mechanical skills keep LUAR in tiptop shape for your charter. First Mate/Chef Samantha Hodge Samantha grew up vacationing with her family in the Virgin Islands. She loved the pristine, secluded, white sand beaches and knew she would eventually live here. Growing up as a nationally competitive horseback rider, attending college and then a career in event planning and as a nutritionist, all postponed her inevitable move to the islands. Sam grew up in a very food-focused family where Sundays were spent in the kitchen with her dad, making homemade pasta, bread, and sweet treats, as well as her favorite family recipes. She began working as the team nutritionist for the Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Flyers, preparing all of their pre-game meals along with delivering meals to players throughout the week. With her years in the restaurant industry she can cater to any request; big or small, dietary or otherwise. Samantha is CPR/AED certified, and has completed the STCW 95 courses. Jon and Sam have just started their second charter season. Last year they ran 30+ charters and they look forward to making this next season just as successful!

What type of yacht should I charter?

No matter what type of yacht you choose to charter, we know that you will have a fantastic time on the water. If you are more about the journey, and want a relaxing time aboard, then choose from one of the many sailboats on the platform. If you are more about the destination, and going fast, check out the powerboats on Sailo. For an exclusive experience, Sailo recommends chartering a luxurious yacht for the day. Finally, Sailo has access to many event boats as well for group outings from 50 - 1,000 guests. If you are still unsure, then just ask! more...

What should I bring?

Bring yourself, and some comfortable clothes suitable to the season you are going to be out on the water. Please keep in mind that it is often 10 degrees cooler out on the water, so a jacket or windbreaker is never a bad idea. We also recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses, as well as a swimsuit if appropriate for your charter location. Please coordinate with your captain regarding any food or drinks that you wish to bring aboard. For term-charters, Sailo recommends using soft-sided luggage, and keeping it simple. more...

How long does a rental last?

The basic daily rental is structured as either a quarter-, half-, or full-day. A quarter-day is two hours, a half-day is four hours, and a full-day is eight hours. You can also discuss a custom trip with the boat by contacting the owner through Sailo. Most term charters (weekly rentals) are from Saturday to Saturday. Keep in mind that the boat generally needs to be back at the dock by Friday evening, and you will need to be off the boat on Saturday morning so they can prepare the boat for the next guests. more...
