Grenada Sailing on a Sailo Boat Rental

Greetings from Grenada! This gem of the Caribbean is a can’t miss for anyone looking for a tropical vacation destination or a great place to go sailing.

Grenada -- also known as the Isle of Spice -- is still one of the hidden gems of the Caribbean. This picturesque paradise is the perfect place for a leisurely getaway. If you’re looking for the ideal location for relaxation in a tranquil setting, the Isle of Spice is the place to be. And what better way to experience the perfect relaxing vacation than a Grenada sailing adventure?

Keep in mind that Grenada is made up of three islands (Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique), and each offer their own experiences. Grenada has plenty to do on land but even more to experience at sea, and a Grenada boat charter is the ideal way to get around this idyllic island setting. Let the Caribbean breeze take you by boat to explore each of your must-do destinations so you can get the most out of your vacation in paradise.

Finding a Grenada boat rental

Sailo offers plenty of Grenada boat charters to help you set sail on your ideal Caribbean getaway. Our platform makes finding your boat rental and planning your sailing vacation easier than ever. Choose from a multitude of catamarans and sailboats available and use filters like type of boat, price, dates, party size, and more in order to narrow your search to the ideal charter for your vacation.

Whether you have a specific boat in mind or you’re open to a variety of options, Sailo’s easy-to-use platform can help you find the right yacht charter for your trip.

Why choose a weekly rental?

You may be wondering why you should rent a boat for the week in the Caribbean. But with all of the gorgeous beaches, hidden gems, island destinations, and amazing things to see and do all around this area, you will need at least a week to accomplish everything on your vacation bucket list.

Sailo offers weekly Grenada boat charters that allow you enough time to explore Grenada and the surrounding area (and trust us, you won’t want your tropical vacation to end!). For some of our weekly charters you also have the option to reserve for free your boat for free.

For the first 24 hours after reserving your boat, you can modify the reservation or cancel if it isn’t the right fit for your vacation plans all without needing to enter your credit card information. This flexibility helps ensure that you find the perfect boat for sailing in Grenada.

As always, we recommend taking the time to chat with the boat representative to get some tips for exploring Grenada. The boat representative can give you suggestions for the can’t-miss spots when visiting the Caribbean and even help you plan out your week long trip, especially if you are renting a boat with a skipper or captain.

One week itinerary

Start off your week at Port Louis Marina and set course for north to Dragon Bay. Here, you can try diving and snorkeling among gorgeous sea life since this is a protected marine area, or just relax on the boat or on the beautiful beach.

Next, head to Tyrell Bay on Carriacou. Carriacou is known for having some of the most stunning beaches in the Caribbean. This area is also home to an abundance of sea life from moray eels to sharks and turtles, so there’s never a dull moment when you’re exploring the waters. There are also plenty of great places to stop and have a local meal.

Over the next few days, make your way around this beautiful area of the Caribbean, including stops at Whistle Bay to eat delicious lobster, the Tobago Cays to see those famous wild iguanas, Sandy Island to see the most picturesque place for an island getaway, and St. George for amazing places to go exploring on land (like waterfalls and hiking trails).

Once you finally make your way back to return your boat charter, we recommend taking some time to explore this fantastic area by land to truly get a feel for island life. Dine on some local grub, explore the day and night life, and catch the sunset or sunrise -- you won’t be disappointed.

Other places to visit in the Caribbean

Keep in mind that Grenada isn’t the only island destination that Sailo recommends! We offer boat rentals all over the Caribbean and specifically Lesser Antilles, in destinations including Martinique and Guadeloupe, so you have plenty of places to choose from for your visit to the tropics.

Now’s the time to book the vacation of your dreams. Sailing in Grenada is made easy with Sailo!
